Our Program

Our program is in 4 models with details of model 1 contained in the objectives and the details below;
  • Bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world
  • Students undertake their Industrial attachment at their doorstep
  • Office space no longer become a reason why a company cannot engage with interns because the school becomes the Virtual Office reducing inequality
  • An equal opportunity is created for students coming from different disciplines, special attention giving to the female students and students with disability to engage with blue chip companies
  • Talent hunt leading to entrepreneurship for industrial expansion innovation and infrastructural development
  • Skill development that focuses on total quality education for entrepreneurship, descent job creation and economic growth
  • Culture of work and school that focuses on UNDP SDGs 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10
  • Governance and business Leadership development
  • Fulfill academic requirements per the Technical Universities ACT 2016, ACT 922
Model one is a minimum 3-week intensive program that takes place just after vacation on campus with miniature offices for various companies from industry on campus for direct attachment placement. We blend the virtual offices with industrial visits where the students learn hands-on skills from the experts and in situations where we can get enough space, all students are placed directly with industry for the period.
Each student regardless of gender, year of study and experience acquired can get placement with any of the companies on the program that is directly involved in a business that meets their field of research and where they get direct access to industry experts on projects and real work experience.
We the managers and academia engage in direct supervision of the program for the period daily and join some of the sessions to ensure we are getting the objectives achieved.
Reports are produced by students (interns or attaches), industry expects (External Supervisors), academia (internal supervisors) and program managers for the academia-industry round table discussion that sets the tone for model 2.
a) Model 2 – A round table discussion that will bring both the industry expects (Professionals) and our lectures (academia) together to dialogue on Model 1 each year after implementation to draw synergies (bridge the gap between academia and industry) that will impact leaning outcomes positively for the tertiary institutions and deepen the UNDP SDGs 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10.
b) Model 3 – Selection of teams and potential entrepreneurs that worked with the industry expects during the program to start working on their ideas as ‘Baby businesses’ to be ushered into model four (4).
c) Model 4 – Registration, hand holding for the ‘Baby businesses’ to become full flesh business right from school which is the end game for NVIP that is developing and maturing entrepreneurs for this generation and beyond and to continuously work on the UNDP SDGs 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 to make Ghana, Africa and the globe a better place.
